About Us

Our Vision

Here at Spectrum, we know what an investment eyeglasses can be, and we know how hard it is to retire a favorite or sentimental pair. We believe you deserve options when your glasses break. That is why we are committed to finding a way to save nearly any eyeglass frame, and we are constantly adapting to the ever-changing styles and materials of eyewear. We maintain a small staff of creative, skilled technicians that focus on our customers’ needs by repairing their glasses quickly, and in the most permanent ways available. With over 75 years of combined experience, our qualified technicians can be trusted to provide innovative, lasting solutions at an affordable price.

Our History

In 1993, two guys wanted to offer their community a service it didn’t yet have: Quick, durable and affordable eyeglass repairs. With Mike’s background in business, and J.J.’s years of experience at LensCrafters, Spectrum Eyeglass Repair was created. Armed with a torch, a will to serve, and a guitar to fill the downtime, they began providing solders and small repairs out of the tiny basement of a medical office building. As word spread and demand for Spectrum’s services grew, they expanded to a larger storefront and brought in extra help, all the while refining their repair techniques. Now, in 2018, we are proud to have two store locations serving the Saint Louis area with a huge variety of repairs, customized clip-ons, magnifiers, and eyewear accessories. We provide repair services to customers around the world, and in addition to our retail services, we partner with over thirty optical labs and optical stores throughout the U.S.

Spectrum Gives Back

Spectrum Eyeglass Repair teams up with local radio station KTRS 550 to sponsor St. Louis Men’s Group against Cancer and the Toys for Tots Radio Marathon. We also contribute to Fight Against Alzheimer’s.

In 2012, the Crestwood mall closed and the mall Santa was left without a home for Christmas. This was the only Santa that JJ’s children knew, so we decided to offer up our store as his seasonal home. For two weekends each December we host photos with Santa in our shop. The entire proceeds go to Toys For School Kids. We also partner with the City of Crestwood, Crestwood Fire Department and Christmas in Crestwood to host Santa at Crestwood City Hall to kick off each Christmas season.
